Universite de Montreal was founded in 1878, and has grown into a large, francophone institution that offers 650 undergraduate programs. Montreal is music and UdeM is a vital part of the city's music scene. Home to one of Canada's most dynamic faculties of music, U de M is part of over 500 public events and attracts over 100,000 people each year.
Students whose previous studies were not delivered entirely in French will be required to pass an exam to demonstrate their mastery French language at a university level.
