From the UNB website: The University of New Brunswick was established in 1785 and has campuses in both Fredericton and Saint John. As a comprehensive university, UNB is the oldest English language university in Canada. The school offers students over 60 degree programs. The Institute of Biomedical Engineering (IBME) is a leader in biomedical engineering. UNB also created the first department of computer science in Canada.
Scholarships: All students entering UNB directly from high school with a Scholarship Average of 80% or higher will receive financial support. There many are scholarships to guarantee support for students with Scholarship Averages in the range of:
- 80% and 84.9% receive $500
- 85% and 89.9% receive $1,000
- 90% or higher receive at least $1,500 in total scholarship support.
The scholarship guarantee may come in the form of one or more scholarship, with the combined total meeting or exceeding our guaranteed amount. Students are notified via letter of their scholarship support at UNB which includes the scholarship guarantee (and is not in addition to.)
Housing: There are 15 on-campus residence houses at UNB. The rooms are furnished with desks, bookshelves, wastebaskets, bulletin boards, beds, dressers, and wardrobes. Students in residence must also enroll in the residence dining program.
