From the URegina website:
The University of Regina is a young and dynamic institution, but the roots of the University lie in Regina College, a small residential high school established by the Methodist church in 1911.
The undergraduate petroleum engineering program is the largest in the country. The police studies degree program is the only one of its kind in North America and is resulting in agreements with police forces in the province and elsewhere. The Canadian Institute for Peace, Justice and Security has several contracts, research papers, and signed memoranda of agreement with other organizations interested in the work being carried out here. The Humanities Research Institute is a catalyst for productive workshops, lectures and conferences. The Centre on Aging and Health is the first and only gerontology research centre in the province.
Housing: Living in residence is more than having a place to live on campus. It is about the place you will call home; a home providing you with a unique combination of convenience, independence, multicultural experience and opportunities for involvement that will enrich your learning and living experiences at the University of Regina. A home where you will make life-long friendships.
