From the Western website: Founded in 1878 by Bishop Isaac Hellmuth and the Anglican Diocese of Huron as "The Western University of London Ontario," Western is one of Canada's oldest and best universities. The first students graduated in arts and medicine in 1883. At UWO, there exist several chartered sorority houses, Alpha Omicron Pi, Alpha Phi, Alpha Gamma Delta, Kappa Alpha Theta, and Pi Beta Phi and 13 fraternities Alpha Epsilon Pi, Kappa Sigma, Acacia Fraternity, Delta Upsilon, Zeta Psi, Beta Theta Pi, the Kappa Alpha Society, Pi Kappa Alpha, Lambda Chi Alpha, Sigma Alpha Mu, Sigma Nu, Sigma Chi, Phi Delta Theta, Pi Lambda Phi,Pi Kappa Alpha.

Housing: If you are a single student coming directly from high school, and have received an offer of full-time admission to The University of Western Ontario by the end of May then accommodation is GUARANTEED.
